About Our Foundation
The Lena Harris Foundation is a faith-rooted nonprofit organization committed to advancing opportunity, strengthening communities, and fostering long-term impact through education, mentorship, and community-centered initiatives. Guided by principles of service, stewardship, and collaboration, the Foundation works to empower youth and support programs that contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
The Foundation is also shaped by the legacy of Lena Harris and her experience with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that affects millions worldwide. In recognition of the challenges faced by individuals and families impacted by Lupus, we support awareness, advocacy, and ongoing research efforts aimed at improving treatment outcomes and advancing progress toward a cure. Through strategic partnerships, scholarships, and community engagement, the Foundation pursues its mission with purpose, accountability, and a commitment to meaningful, measurable change.
Our mission is to empower and uplift youth by providing access to educational scholarships, structured one-on-one mentorship, and community-based programs rooted in faith, service, and purpose. We are committed to nurturing the academic, personal, and professional growth of young people by connecting them with caring mentors, meaningful opportunities, and supportive networks that help them realize their full potential.
Through intentional community engagement and strategic partnerships, we also work to raise awareness and vital resources in the ongoing fight against Lupus. By combining compassion with action, we honor the legacy of Lena Harris while creating pathways for hope, resilience, and lasting impact.
